Bubbie has always been sweet on her Bread & Butter Chips. Made using a family recipe, these snacking pickles are traditionally tart, subtly sweet, and loved by generations.
Find them in the refrigerated section.
Dating back to the early 1920s, the first sweet and sour “bread & butter” chip was coined and sold by two Illinois cucumber farmers, Omar and Cora Fanning. It is said that the iconic name “bread and butter” came about by bartering the famous pickles for staples such as “bread” and “butter.”
Just like a sour Bubbies Kosher Dill, this tart and sweet snacker is great straight from the jar. It’s perfect on burgers and sandwiches, BBQ, or in any recipe needing a sweet crunch.
