Smoked Salmon Spread

Whoever had the bright idea to spread cool cream cheese on a chewy bagel and top it with salty smoked salmon deserves a special place in culinary history. It's a perfect combination, but I'm always thinking about how to add more flavor, improve the presentation, or make a dish more versatile. I hope you'll agree that this recipe accomplishes all those things. A spoonful of my Horseradish cuts through the richness of the cream cheese. Blending it into a spread means you can keep it on hand for a quick breakfast or an impromptu cocktail party. Perhaps you can improve upon perfection?

Ingredients

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup créme fraiche
  • 1 tbsp Bubbies Prepared Horseradish
  • 1 tbsp dill, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 4 oz smoked salmon

Directions

  1. Put all ingredients into food processor, and pulse 4-6 times until well incorporated.
  2. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  3. Transfer to a small bowl and serve with toasted bagels or sliced artisan bread.
